iPod Touch sync with Google Apps Calendars

Google Sync allows you to choose up to 25 Calendars with the Calendar app on your Apple device.

To select which calendars to sync to your Apple device, follow the steps below:

  • Open the Safari browser on your device and go to http://m.google.com/sync
  • Sign in with your account and select your device from the list of devices you’ve set up for Google Sync
  • Bookmark this page so you can return to it easily.

If you use Google Apps, follow these steps:

  • Open the Safari browser on your phone and go to http://m.google.com
  • Click on Google Apps user? at the bottom of the screen
  • Enter your domain name (e.g., YourDomain.com)
  • Click the Sync icon in your domain area (this section has a green background)
  • Sign in if required
  • Select your device to configure Calendars

MS ActiveSync: Change Your sync folder

Q: ActiveSync defines by default that the Sync Files will be under “My Documents”. How do I change this location, if for instance, I want it under D:\PocketPC?

A: You will need to make the changes in the registry if you want to change the target folder settings since Activesync will not allow you to do it. Please note that m modify the Registry contents is never supported by any of the manufacturers. If you want to do it anyways, then it is recommended you first backup the registry information using the File -> Export feature in the registry. Read more »
